Arami

Arami is a fashion designer, baker, and traveler living and working between Milan and Kyoto. Trained in pattern cutting and draping at Istituto Marangoni and later apprenticing in indigo dyeing along the Kamogawa River, her work operates at the deliberate intersection of fabric weight, drape, and temperature.

This publication is her living record: an ongoing inventory of hand-cut garments, naturally fermented wild sourdoughs, dispatches from the road, and deliberate everyday rituals. Dough is not merely an ingredient; it is a sensitive geological strata responding to ambient humidity, microclimates, and human patience.

Rooted deeply in Japanese wabi-sabi and the rigorous discipline of Italian tailoring, the studio's philosophy centers on tactile memory: honoring slow fermentation schedules, hand-finished seams, and welcoming the gentle wear that travel and time leave on cloth, leather, and skin.
